Finding the Perfect TV Size for Your Home

Choosing the right TV size and resolution doesn’t have to be complicated

    Couple watching TV

Shopping for a new TV can be a daunting task. With so many sizes, resolutions, brands, and features to choose from, it can be hard to know where to start.

But do not despair—we’re going to make the process as easy for you as we can. Here’s everything you need to know about choosing the right size TV for your home.

    TV Size Matters

When it comes to finding the perfect TV size for you, it’s all about location. To start, decide where you plan on putting your new television. Will it be in your living room? Bedroom? Home office? Once you have chosen a spot, measure the area where you plan on putting your new television and use that measurement as a guide when shopping for size. Generally speaking, the closer you sit to the TV screen, the smaller of a screen should be purchased—and vice versa.

According to Samsung, these are the recommended TV screen sizes for various viewing distances:

    Screen Size / Viewing Distance

    32 Inch / 1.37 m (4.5 ft)

    43 Inch / 1.83 m (6.0 ft)

    50 Inch / 2.13 m (7.0 ft)

    55 Inch / 2.35 m (7.7 ft)

    65 Inch / 2.77 m (9.1 ft)

    75 Inch / 3.20 m (10.5 ft)

    85 Inch / 3.63 m (11.9 ft)

    TV Resolution Matters Too

Besides size, resolution is just as important when choosing the right television for your needs. Think of resolution like this: The higher the number (e.g., 1080p or 4K), the clearer and more detailed your picture will be—no matter what size tv you get! To get an idea of which resolution is best for viewing pleasure in your home, take into account how far away viewers are likely to be sitting from the screen while watching content. The further away they will sit, then higher resolution may not matter as much as if they are sitting closer up. Also consider if there are any budget constraints when considering resolution.

Choosing the right TV size and resolution doesn’t have to be complicated! With these simple guidelines in mind, you can rest assured that no matter which TVs you choose from our selection here at Metric Marketing Agency, you will find one that fits both your space and budget perfectly! So don’t wait any longer—start shopping today!
